Yes - and @FfrindIMi in ABUHB has been quite active with schoolchildren and a GP producing a book about working in Health. However, that pays well and social care does not. Until the public and government recognises the value of good social care sadly little will change.

There is something that isn't recognised. It is important to young disabled people too, as often they are isolated from their peers.

Send the Minister responsible to Sweden where care workers are professional, well paid & respected. Or Holland or Denmark or Norway. Political will is what's required.

Also care work is ,like nursing,a vocation,those who do it have to really want to.Its important to recruit young people but they have to be the right people.
