This is a great move in the event that an early GE scuppers MPs trigger ballots.
We can all name disloyal Labour MPs who should should be turfed out by the NEC.

I’m not convinced about this move. It’s like a return to the Blair days. I want local mechanisms not central command - even in these circumstances

No it isn't, JC wouldn't be parashooting his chosen candidates into place, it would allow members to choose their own. Entirely democratic, & only necessary to help make sure selections can go ahead cos of snap GE & lack of time. Also the right have been tryin to block ballots
