I’ve offered to meet Jeremy Corbyn to discuss how we can work together on a deliverable plan to stop no-deal, including the option of uniting behind an MP who can command a majority in the House.

All the evidence is that Jeremy Corbyn does not have the support of enough Conservative MPs to command that majority, so I would urge him to be open to supporting alternative candidates for that role.pic.twitter.com/D7v8FRyDCp

That is a straightforward lie. Here is a Tory MP, along with 3 others, saying he’ll back Jeremy. Tories only have a majority of 1. You, Jo Swinson, and your pal Umunna are the roadblock to preventing a Boris Brexit. Too posh to muck in with the rest of us.pic.twitter.com/lRC2hJ76yF

No it’s just down to Jo, Ed and Chuka’s personal animosity to Corbyn. Simps! They would rather have no deal

i would dispute that they would *actually* rather no deal - this was a ploy to call corbyn's bluff and it hasn't worked ! JC has played a blinder on this one and made them look pretty silly

You are far more generous than me! I have many good Liberal friends and they must be so fed up with their UK leadership. Jo Swinson has all the warmth and engagement of Theresa May and Chuka will be off to join the Tories sooner or later. Have a good weekend
