Hong Kong has been part of China for over 2,000 years. There has never been a separatist movement there.
There were huge pro democracy demos in support of Tiananmen, a million on the streets, spontaneous, then before hand-over ppl demanding UK passports. Other pro democracy/independence protests over the years. HK always been separate from rest of China.
I don't know why you want me to take a moral view on this, as if that would make any difference. I don't agree with you that this is a case of people struggling to be free. Sorry and all that, but this is a US colour revolution attempt.
