Lucy doesn't agree, unfortunately She signed the letter to get Chris Williamson re-suspended. She would throw him under the bus even though he's one of Labour's best campaigners and totally innocent of the false AS charges She gets no praise from me until she retracts

Steve we need a little bit conciliation at the moment to avoid an irrecoverable schism. I’m not saying I disagree with the points you raise - I totally support Chris - but bridges need to be built to marginalise the fanatical Watson and his hard core gang in the PLP & the Lords

And who do you want to build the bridges with? The hard core gang don't want bridges, they've made that very clear. They want Corbyn and all the socialists out.
@LucyMPowell picked the wrong side when she signed that letter. She needs to think carefully where she wants to go next1 antwoord 2 retweets 5 vind-ik-leuks -
You always reach out to the 80% who can move or compromise - not the 20% hard core. You haven’t got to agree with them on anything in detail but we have to focus on the bigger issue - getting shot of the Tories. Similarly 20% on the left can’t compromise, but we must push on

I agree completely. But
@LucyMPowell Lucy has placed herself well within the 20% hard core by signing that letter to throw@DerbyChrisW under the bus. While welcoming her statement about the peers' action, I think she has to do more to show she really has changed her spots.1 antwoord 3 retweets 2 vind-ik-leuks -

Steve I’m not talking about changing spots, it’s about for the short term pulling together

Jury out. Give credit where due. Her CLP will decide. Hopefully when September comes. I’m praising anyone who says supportive things. My floaring voter mates at work are jumpy, all they hear is infighting and AS. They see us at war

This is the problem. Corbyn will win - but he plays the long game. How many of the homeless and disabled and working poor can afford to wait? It needs swift action to decapitate the witchhunt. Just two or three as examples (Watson, Hodge, Streeting?) "Pour encourager les autres"

This isn’t easy - there are no easy answers

Sept is when the Trigger Ballots land. This is our war. The CLPs. This is what the noise and brouhaha is about. We stay focused get rid of those we can. 12 opportunities already from Reselection process. Also Lords have been given notice. We win. They go. 30% fighting redundancy
