It could be, but still begs the question whether we want to be in an industry that is changing so radically?
We urgently need to consider a future where #jobs are our only answer.

I honestly don’t think nationalisation can help one small part of a massive industry. You can effectively nationalise a sector serving primarily domestic need, but not a small cog in global supply chain. It’s gutting for all those at the Bridgend plant - I of 2

It’s will be OK for the 300+ old enough to retire, 500+ with transferable skills, but that leaves a 1000 looking for work who have narrow skills. It’s a hammer blow not just got Bridgend but across South Wales. Lots in Labour are trying to help so not let’s not make it tribal

There is a time for scrutiny - I don’t argue with. On a similar point did AMs and MPs properly hold economy Ministers to account over this issue - before the event - over the last five years? I don’t know. The blame game won’t help Ford employees - it’s not about point scoring

I agree with you, Kevin. However, we are at a turning point. We’ve had a minister (correctly imo) question the validity of economic orthodoxy. Are those thoughts really taking root? If not, then we will reap what we sow. Fearful communities blaming others.
