Yes. It ignores those who want remain - depending on the poll, now in excess of 50%. Brexit has been a far-right project from day 1, and appeasement plays into their hands. I'm all for socialism, but not one that makes things worse, which every projection says it will

How is following a democratic mandate appeasement? To turn it on it’s head what if we had got a majority for remain and a govt was now pressing ahead with Brexit despite that referendum result. This is a mess that I feel only the softest possible Brexit can solve

Plus, there hasn't been a democratic mandate since LeaveEU decided not to appeal the decision that yes, they broke the law. If not since the GE which changed Parliament. Or when the courts said that if the ref was binding, it would have been declared void for all the law-breaking

The Electoral Commission have never said the LeaveEU actions had a material impact on the result. I loathe those leave campaigners who lied to everyone and broke the rules, but the result mirrored the mood of country in my view. It’s time to move on
