Wow. If that's true, then it is well out of order. Hyundai boss will surely have to reply, either to confirm or deny these accusations.

Quite different in my opinion. Elfyn sacrificed his position to help OGIER gain points, but never to disadvantage other drivers by running out of order as Hyundai did this time. If the OGIER statement is correct, then it would appear they were even willing to go a step further!

I'm the Same Peter totally different what Hyundai did over weekend and should be punished. Renault did in Formula 1 and lost major sponsors because of it as well. FIA need to look into this.

They won’t punish a manufacture I think - the WRC and FIA need them too much. The sporting regulations should however be changed as I said yesterday to include penalising unsportsmanlike actions

Did it with Toyota 1995 banned them for a year. So Why not the same with Hyundai. Hyundai already questioning there involvement in WRC if the don't win the manufacturers title this year in Korea.

All to do with politics and not sport. FIA should be bastion of fair play in motorsport but they aren’t. If the Sordo allegation is proven they won’t ban them, but should deduct points. But proving it is a big if - it will need to be evidence that stands up in court

Agreed. At present just " hearsay " and nothing else. Will need Ogier's inside informant to stand up and give evidence. Unlikely. If not confirmed, then pressure falls on Ogier to either prove or retract, and possible action against him for false accusation.

Indeed Peter. This may get very nasty. Sordo is a man who I don’t think would lie so he could be key - but would he kiss goodbye to his Hyundai career if it is true? Or was it Ogier or his informant exaggerating the story? The service park won’t be a nice place either way ......

On another thread I’m worried Kris Meeke is heading for another team departure this year. His attitude wasn’t great about team orders, but then to throw away a 2nd place on the power stage will test even Makinen’s understanding. I can see Elfyn, Sordo or Lappi there next year

He appears to have had a personality transplant. Really not fond of his new image and conduct. Shame.

Totally agree - I’ve always had a soft spot for him. Perhaps it’s desperation at this stage of his career. Probably no other team would employ him if it carries on like this
