These are not people unwilling to work - these are people mostly unable to work and Christians should always support them to make their best contribution to society, not penalise in the Victorian mentality of the workhouse. Universal Credit as a concept could have helped do this
If we have large numbers of individuals with a disability and life limiting illnesses we should help and support them and not sanction them into starvation, homelessness or using foodbanks. Cruel Conservatism is not a Christian way forward

16% of the UK working age population have some sort of disability - the majority whom work with reasonable adjustments but there many more can’t get employment. We shouldn’t punish them - we need to let them thrive
