Ermm... Yes and everywhere else too. I was on picket lines with my father and there were always people you could tell were undercovers. My father is where I got my left leaning politics, thanks again dad, get well soon.

Plus MI5 as part of the war on the working classes that started with the miners strike. Like you my politics came from my Dad - and extended family. I was never brainwashed on politics by them just had all options outlined for me to make my own choices

Neither did I, my father has been the biggest revalation of my life, he gave me books by left wing authors like Orwell and even his own books at the age of 15, I was leaning left at that age, been left ever since.

I stood with him on pucket lines during the Miners Strike in 1984, during that time he also helped organise a miners childs camp in Silverdale (near Carnforth), I went one week, there was kayaking, abseiling that sort of stuff. It was a good weekend.
