What happened to the ‘democratically elected’ mantra used when any suggestions of leadership challenges ?? @tom_watson has his own mandate to be deputy leader you know....

That gets overruled when you start to trash and betray the party. Do you have any examples of Jeremy Corbyn trashing the Labour party?

Ummmmm really? Do you want to reword that ? Because I’m pretty sure he has voted against the Labour Party an awful lot over his backbench career.

Certainly not. I am talking about trashing and bad mouthing the party to actively prevent a Labour Gov. Something Corbyn has never done. I have no problem with any Labour MP voting against the leadership on a genuine matter of principle; something the coup MPs have never done.

Why is it trashing if he says that at times, he doesn’t recognise the party?! That’s the view of a lot of members and voters. Not sure how he’s trashing the party in his statement.

Have U been following Lab party politics over the last 3 or 4 years? Just think about the Blairites and what they have said about Corbyn and Labour, and then think about whether the statements have born any relation to reality. I'm not going 2 hold your hand and walk U through it

Well as I’ve been a party member for 17 years, yeah, I’d say I’ve been following Labour Party politics over the last 3 or 4 years.

I think these last few days have been very emotive. I honestly think these 7 MPs could no longer stay - and the party could no longer tolerate their actions - but now it’s time to pull together and move on to get the Tories out. 1 of 2

I am on the left of the party - should me would say far left - but have good friends more to the right who I wouldn’t want to leave the party. They are good social democrats / socialists fighting for social justice. Blood letting is over and now move on together. 2 of 2

Labour has, and always should be, a broad church.
