No, because we didn’t commit to single market membership.

Putting the economic benefits of the Single Market and Customs Union first in relation to jobs, as my extract from the manifesto would lead any reasonable reader to infer means that those benefits come first, so if losing free movement compromises them, we need to keep it.

The manifesto didn’t commit to single market membership though, you know this.

Are you really going to tell me Labour committed to getting all the benefits of the Single Market but not being a member of it? You are practically walking me into a criticism of Labour.

Labour's manifesto says retaining the benefits of the Single Market are essential to jobs & economy. It then says that Labour will always put jobs and the economy first. So... If those benefits are essential to jobs and jobs are Labour's top priority, Labour must keep them all.

Labour’s manifesto also committed to end free movement of people.. which means we can’t have single market membership. Also, if we ever want to build a socialist state then we need the option to end free movement of capital.. which means we can’t have single market membership.

I've already pointed out that free movement wasn't named as a top priority so my point trumps yours. But let's go to a topic you're better than me on: socialism. the need to stop capital flight is lower if we have transnational rules about taxation where profit is made. I.e. EU.

The idea that remaining in the EU will lead to a socialist state is laughable. Yes, EU regulation wouldn’t really impact what was offered in the 2017 manifesto but we need to look beyond that. We need the option to end free movement of capital if we are to deliver socialism.

If we Brexit then there needs to be an immediate leadership challenge and if Corbyn wins then the 170 plus MPs should coalesce as Real Labour. Great MPs like

Where does figure of 170 come from? It’s more like 17.....
