Colin, there are a lot of Remainers on Twitter. That's largely because the two main parties are pro-Brexit. So being almost entirely deprived of party-political representation we've had to represent ourselves, hence the vast #FBPE movement.

You’ve got the Lib Dems haven’t you - and they are doing really well in the polls .....

FPTP effectively blocks any third party from becoming a serious contender to the big two. We've had only one change to the 2 party system in over 300 years! The other point is that many Remainers are not natural LibDems, so they feel politically homeless.

I thought we had a referendum in 2011 on that and it rejected any change to FPTP by 2:1. You don’t want a second vote on that as well do you?

I'm not arguing about changing the system. Only noting that on the greatest issue of our times over half the electorate is unrepresented by the two main party leaderships, which when you think of it is bizarre.

I don't think PR is some kind of magical panacea, and I'm not at all persuaded that changing the electoral system in response to a single issue crisis would be wise. I do think that Labour's leaders should think much more carefully about the present

Corbyn is trying to reach out to the 80% of of the electorate - Leavers and Remainers - to build some sort of compromise that delivers for both, and a tolerant approach to differences. You can’t win over the 20% made up of FBPE and UKIP ‘ultras’ who are totally obsessed Brexit

Corbyn keeps talking about people on zero hours contracts, using food banks... and though I totally hate that such things exist he & Labour must remember to broaden their appeal. Inequality hurts the majority. See The Spirit Level book. Go for a Green New Deal agst ClimateChange

I will have a look. Socialism and politics is about priorities and the homeless, rough sleepers, those in Universal Credit / benefits, younger and older workers on dodgy contracts, and those in the NHS/care are the first priority to an inclusive society. They are really hurting
