Poorer countries are closer to the countries the refugees come from. Countries from Europe try help more on location. It’s better to help refugees close to their own country so they can go back when the situation is over, instead of making them travel long & integrate in Europe.

Our cities are full. Rent is at an all time high in a lot of European cities. We have our own problems to fix, we can’t just let everyone enter the country, especially with the thread of terrorism. Shame on the countries at war, not on Europe.

Not forgetting we already had Blair's 20yrs of Mass Immigration, failing services for decades, stagnant wages for 30+yrs, Europeans that come here & prepared to work for low wages so driving down wages AND Britain is a small island w/ limited space.

By empty you mean green belt? You might be prepared to change the face of Britain by concreting over it but thankfully majority aren't.

No. Two thirds of the country has very low population density and often many empty properties. We are not full up

Empty properties should be used for the homeless already here in UK. Areas of low population in Britain are like that for a reason..no jobs. Immigrants gravitate to already overcrowded major cities & infrastructure is breaking under the strain.

As a country we choose not to house the homeless. It’s not either or. We can do both

"We" don't choose not to home the homeless, Govts choose not to home the homeless. Strange logic that despite knowing we aren't homing Brits you think it's ok to invite more migrants into UK to house bc "we can do both". "We" can't. Police/Fire stations/Surgeries shut bc No £
