Totally understand Gerard. The massive issue for me is the cost... The spectacle was there in 15, 16.... So to increase costs markedly with these bespoke models great though they are is unsustainable. 10 seats in a top Fia championship???? Needs stopping now.

Cost was always going to be an issue with the modern WRC cars - the spectacle is great but when the cost is €300K to €400K more than the outgoing WRC car then it will become difficult to sustain particularly when cars are exclusive to WRC only.

Mr.Wilson said he estimated Toyota alone must have spent 200,000€ on aero replacement panels in rally Australia alone during the event. Is there a way the fitment of said panels could be restricted to "X" amount per event? It would be a small step but a start??

The more important point is that this is rallying and should it have bolt-on aero devices. Seems a contradiction
