2/3 of Labour held seats are in leave areas Not respecting the referendum result would have been electoral suicide Giving the Tories enough rope to hang themselves with was the right approach and is now beginning to pay dividends Watch this space

Right, because to the Labour Party, competing with UKIP and Tory voters is *way* more important than saving the poorest & most vulnerable - & hundreds of thousands of jobs - from Brexit. IMO, ditching the worst-off to win an election *isn't* what Labour should do. We disagree.

Propping up a Tory Government because of your centrists outrage over Brexit really is ditching the worst-off In my experience

Ditching the worst-off AND propping up the Tories by supporting Brexit, all in the hope of winning enough Tory/UKIP voters to win a GE, really isn't what Labour shld do. IME, Brexit is supported by comfortably-off pensioners & outright racists: cosily sure Brexit won't hurt them.

Not chasing Kipper votes but wanting to respect democratic decision (however flawed) and retain our own voters. As I said earlier, 2/3 of Labour held seats in leave areas I'm not a Brexiteer but many who were are Labour voters

And you feel that the minority of Labour Leave voters will ditch Labour for UKIP/Tory if they don't get Brexit - and so Labour should chase their votes, but take for granted the majority of Labour Remain voters, cocky they'll vote Labour without being chased?

No, I recognize that we had to respect the referendum result. We've given the Tories the opportunity to negotiate it and now the house of cards will collapse. As Kier said all options will be on the table

Labour *has* to respect the referendum result in England & Wales? That takes priority over EVERYTHING - like defending the poor & vulnerable, protecting jobs, supporting the NHS, & opposing the far right? Really? As Corbyn said - he wouldn't stop Brexit if he could.

Corbyn was asked if he could stop Brexit, would he? He said "we can't", & referenced not his lack of a majority, but Article 50 & the 2016 referendum result. So it's wouldn't if he could.

Not sure I agree on your interpretation there

I'm not 'interpreting'. I'm reporting directly & clearly what Corbyn said in the DS interview.
