That is the most telling point made to date - why run a business if the only way you can make profits is by screwing your staff? We are in the 21st century after all

In the current labour market choice is anything but free. It’s a rigged market based on intimidating individuals to achieve maximum ‘business flexibility’. The UK is the ‘poor man of Europe’ in terms of workers rights. Why don’t Lidl and Aldi need to exploit British workers?

There's a finite number of jobs in the market. The Market's(praised be it's Holy name) purpose is to get more(profit) for less (outlay) when you secure overheads and raw materials as cheap as you can you can only boost profits by selling more(hard) or driving down wages(easy).

Again your argument is absolutist and simplistic. The Market pays the minimum it can. In some cases where a particular skill is comoditised it is forced to pay more but we see outsourcing to the Indian subcontinent in IT sectors not to help the impoverished of India. For profit!

Well look at shall we say a company like CAPITA. They will make your road for you, they will serve your court papers for you, carry out your medical assessments for you, even check your TV license and maintain your military facilities. However they have very few employees...
