Well said, feeling a lot of support from Labour members that have come back to Labour because of Corbyn, they see Mark Drakeford & identify with him for the same reasons they identify with Corbyn. #C21Socialism #MD4L

This is absolutely shambolic, a ridiculous argument to support him. Back him because of his ideas, not who he supports. Welsh Labour isn't just an extension of the Labour Party, and our leader isn't just symbolic, ffs.

With respect, if bringing more members into the party & creating CLPs where none have existed before in Wales is a bad thing, then perhaps you need to examine your priorities?

What is his vision for Wales? What are his policies to achieve that vision? Why is he running for leader if he has no burning desire for the job? Simply supporting a person in the national party does *not* qualify a candidate for this job.

You have the answers to your questions already, bit late to be asking now. Who are you voting for?

I really don't though, because I've been following the campaigns right from the start and I've seen nothing from him. His whole campaign has been "I support Corbyn, and worked with Rhodri Morgan" - like... OK?

Support for Corbyn, desirable or not, isn't a property that instantly qualifies someone to be Welsh Labour leader. It's largely irrelevant to the role. Having worked with Rhodri Morgan is great, but it's also not got anything to do with the future.

Personally, I'm backing Vaughan Gething, because he *does* have a whole raft of policies to support his vision of a Wales fairer for all. There's been substance to his campaign, not just a list of people he knows.

He came out against OMOV, so I couldn't lend him my vote. I identify him as part of the old Welsh Labour RW problem.

I mean, OMOV has nothing to do with how good they'd be as Welsh Labour leader and First Minister, and to blanket rule someone out a right-wing, especially in Labour, but double-especially in Welsh Labour is absolutely ridiculous.

OMOV was about a commitment to tesl democracy within the party - the exact opposite of N/Labour
