6/ To recap: that's FIVE official investigations into @arron_banks & @nigel_farage's LeaveEU campaign. But then there's Vote Leave...the official campaign headed by @BorisJohnson & @michaelgove who have ALSO been fined £61,000 & referred to the Met policehttps://www.theguardian.com/politics/2018/jul/17/vote-leave-fined-and-reported-to-police-by-electoral-commission-brexit?CMP=share_btn_tw …

7/ And then there's dear
@darrengrimes_, the head of BeLeave, who's ALSO been fined £20,000 & referred to the Met police. Note, Vote Leave/BeLeave's crimes are believed to be biggest UK electoral fraud of modern times. And it only made no.7 on the list....https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2018/jul/17/darren-grimes-the-student-pro-brexit-activist-fined-22k-vote-leave?CMP=share_btn_tw …17 antwoorden 468 retweets 949 vind-ik-leuksDeze collectie tonen -
8/ Important to be equal opportunities about this. I'm always being asked why I'm not investigating Remain. Well, I didn't know of any crimes. But here's one, new today: Lib Dems fined for selling the personal data of 100,000 members to the Remain campaignhttps://dailym.ai/2D6QvKs

Lets be honest you've NEVER looked for any errors regarding remain... how on earth could you have missed this glaringly obvious information? You're either a crap investigative reporter or worse still happy to ignore/distort the truth in order to make it fit your own agenda

Regrettably
@carolecadwalla has a blind spot when it comes to the Liberal Democrats. She is vehemently anti-Lib Dem. This is a mistruth. The Lib Dems did not sell personal data to the Remain side, only electoral registration info, which is freely available from local authorities.2 antwoorden 0 retweets 2 vind-ik-leuks -

All political parties served with formal warnings. The LD is one of several. I think that December is to be the audit deadline.pic.twitter.com/EpGWGrZX9K

Why would they have paid the Lib Dems £100k for otherwise freely available information? If it was to secure a frame of data for Lib Dem members only, I think that would have broken the data protection regulations as their implicit LD membership status was sold without permission

As far as I know electoral registers are not collected centrally for the whole country. You have to apply to each separate local authority - and pay each time to each local authority. An extremely lengthy and costly process for Remain and Leave campaigns to do from scratch.

I’m aware commercial organisations do hold the data nationally for the whole registers, but obviously would not have the pro-EU Lib Dem membership sub frame, nor mobile or ex-directory numbers. Might be the Achilles Heel of the defence argument if released without permission
