2/ And then there's last week's news. That the National Crime Agency is investigating Banks on suspicion of committing "multiple criminal offences". Huge question mark over funding of LeaveEU campaign & whether it was "permissible" or from foreign sourceshttps://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2018/nov/01/arron-banks-referred-to-agency-over-suspected-offences-in-brexit-campaign?CMP=share_btn_tw …
I thought the investigation was ongoing? Or have you seen the @ico findings already?

All political parties served with formal warnings. The LD is one of several. I think that December is to be the audit deadline.pic.twitter.com/EpGWGrZX9K

Why would they have paid the Lib Dems £100k for otherwise freely available information? If it was to secure a frame of data for Lib Dem members only, I think that would have broken the data protection regulations as their implicit LD membership status was sold without permission

Yes, Carole Cadwalla is spreading misinformation saying: "Well, I didn't know of any crimes. But here's one, new today: Lib Dems fined for selling the personal data of 100,000 members to the Remain campaign". She says "new today" as she saw C4 News repeating old Daily Mail claim

I await the next ICO report on Remain data usage with anticipation. When it comes to data abuse or misuse I have no party or Brexit loyalties. The concept of selling enhanced electoral roll data(ie with phone numbers) for LD members only does sound dodgy. Is this what they did?
