The morning's debate over the propriety of a World Series crowd loudly booing the president just keeps reminding people that a World Series crowd loudly booed the president.

And other presidents have been booed at baseball games, in case everyone suddenly forgot.
If I'm remembering correctly, Obama was booed at the All-Star Game in 2009, GWBush was booed at a Nationals game in 2008, and GHWBush was famously booed at the 1992 All-Star Game:
I remember other presidents being booed but I guess I didn't remember them being booed so lustily as what I saw last night, and the "lock him up" chant seemed next level. This seemed different by a lot to me, but maybe my advanced age has faded my memory of those events.

Oh the “lock him up” chant was new, but only due to the fact that other presidents hadn’t been using phrases like that against their opponents. I’m not sure why anyone is surprised this got thrown back at him.

I wonder why Obama would be booed when he was freshly in office. Had to be some factor at work there... 🤔

Actually someone said it was because he wore a White Sox jacket and the game was in St. Louis, and if so ... yeah, that’s on him

Someone should talk to people upset about this and mention that slight hiccup for the Emperor Justinian at the Hippodrome in Constantinople. You know, just for perspective.
