I honestly wish you all could work together to come up with a new employment category. Gig work is much needed, especially for Millenials (& Gen Z). People shouldn't be abused by large employers. I don't think these are mutually exclusive concepts.

The Unions wanted to get rid of the Gig Economy in California. Uber and Lyft were a threat to the Taxi Union which aligned themselves with SEIU to attack Uber and Lyft. Independent Contractors and they make up the Gig Economy
