Hi. I’ve written a few books in several series. Dive in with HOUNDED or INK & SIGIL for urban fantasy; A PLAGUE OF GIANTS for epic fantasy; and KILL THE FARM BOY for humorous fantasy that pokes loving fun at fantasy tropes. Happy reading!
Examples of my various series—the entire Iron Druid Chronicles is stacked in the left, and the first books of my other series are arranged L-R, along with a miniature yeti and a smooshie of Happy Toast, and a red vase of flowers.

I’m in this anthology (with a story about Gladys Who Has Seen Some Shite) and this review has me turbo excited to read the other stories in it!

That’s happened with some other old albums I loved—there one day, gone the next, disappearing in a puff of dispute with a streaming service, I guess. Not sure what’s going on behind the scenes but I’m fairly certain it’s a matter of someone besides the artist being a cheese poot

To circle back to the top of the thread—it was Tony’s recording of Etude Opus 10 No. 4 that got me hooked on Chopin. I *still* think it better than any I’ve heard. BUT! That recording (and album!) can’t be found anymore, for some reason probably owing to rights

Guitarist’s name is Tony MacAlpine. Now I don’t know *why*—it might be his production or something—but I prefer his recordings to celebrated classical performers. I think his phrasing is often superior—perhaps because of his expertise with another instrument? Dunno.

I came to Chopin, bizarrely, by way of a metal guitarist. He’s been putting out albums of instrumental stuff for decades. And on his albums, he’d include one classical piano track with no explanation. Just, HERE, Mëtäl nerds, you can shred on piano too

These March Hare versions are almost bereft of phrasing and lack drama. It’s just JESUS I’M IN A HURRY. Of the first six I prefer the one by Vladimir Ashkenazy—seventeen seconds slower than the speediest version.

Sharing this pic of a mountain lightly frosted with snö because A) my cousin Samantha took it and B) because this is Flagstaff and pretty much exactly the view that Owen and his grove have. The troll who suffered an unfortunate fate came outta them trees
Evergreens and aspens in the foreground in fall glory, but higher on the moutain, in the distance, the trees have snow on them. Super pretty.

ok so I’ve gotten a lot of criticism of my attempts to draw realistic birds, but I think I’ve made a breakthrough. even though they move quickly (and are often obscured by foliage!), I think these are close to 100% accuracy! that being said, I welcome any constructive criticism

Voted in the local election—city councillor stuff. Fortunately only one of the candidates looked like he’d do actual damage if elected and it wasn’t a situation where you have to choose the least stinky from a Cheese Board of Evil

The great egrets fishing in the dark marsh waters fascinate me because they are not at all camouflaged and their reflections on the water are so cool. Plus I think they’re daring, wading in the mud like that. YOU’RE GONNA GET DIRTY, I tell them, but they always look spotless 5/

Speaking of leaves, it’s that time of year when birds love to rustle around in them looking for snacks. And I did not realize until this shot how well the white-throated sparrows are camouflaged for the season. You can match the plumage to the assortment of leaves. 3/
