Struck me David Astbury in the post match saying he wasn't even tired. 22 min quarters & still 4 players on the bench! Some were even suggesting they need 8 on the bench FFS. Been with you the whole way along on this KB.
Interchange is the heart valve. Blame @AFLPA @dangerfield35

The shorter quarters do no favours for the Tiges game style either. Over the last 3 years we’ve been at our best in the last 5 to 10 mins of each quarter. Stamina has been a big part of our game and this change removes that.

Too many teams. The AFL diluted the talent base too far

AFL lists are a smaller % of the population now than ever (more elite). There is also a higher % of the population participating in Australian rules football (bigger talent pool). You can make subjective judgements on the quality of the talent, but objectively dilution isn’t it

You’re pushing your own agenda and you more than most have contributed to where we are today being on the rules of the game committee.

I showed the kids the last quarter and a half this morning. There was a single goal that might have been marked over the line. Not much for them to cheer about

why do you blokes hate the game?

Stop with the ‘haven’t played in 10 weeks’ excuse. The NRL players came back and played like they were never gone.

Opening game Eels v Broncos was a belter of a game.

This is spot on KB. I’ve been brought up watching the game but at times even last season, I found myself a mixture of bored/frustrated and even angry watching some games. It’s just not “entertainment” anymore. Too tactical and defensive, lost a lot of its great elements.

As soon as people stop watching and attending that’s when things will change
