The extreme flash flooding currently ongoing in parts of Western Germany is unbelievable. This station in Altenahr (RLP) stopped sending data as the water level reached 5.85m, exceeding the previous record by at least 2m (and the level didn't peak there).

Well Bernd brough a lot of rain in the south west and all the rivers are flowing to the north. It is like a very slow mooving wave and later other parts will be flooded too which didn't even saw that much rain.
