Suppressing likes/dislikes/comments aren’t new to social media. Twitter has been doing that for at least a year now. Right-leaning accounts have likes and retweets suppressed, which is evidenced by right-wing twitter and left-wing twitter hacking about 50-50 of the twitter...

Population, but left-wing accounts get about 33%-50% more likes and retweets than right leaning ones. Not only that, but I and many other folks have gotten a message “failed to retweet/failed to like, post not found” despite it being there to read and us seeing other likes go up

It’s hardly confirmed but project veritas has gotten video clips of twitter employees in high positions saying they don’t want “bad people” on the platform. I interpret that as they view right-wingers and trump politics as not advertiser friendly

So I think what’s happening is the right has been deemed not ad friendly due to the media talking about the “alt-right” all of the time, so a combination of suppressing the right in order to push them off platform and promoting ad friendly/establishment politicians like Bernie

I’m not endorsing the right or anyone’s politics, I’m just stating that I believe this to be the case. There are instances of left wing suppression as well, such as YT censoring coming out videos for LGBT folks
