1. We will treat data from anyone watching children’s content on http://YouTube.com as coming from a child, regardless of the age of the user. This means we will only collect the data needed to support the operation of the service.

What about content that is both for kids and adults? My channel features music tutorials for beginners of all ages, but if I choose to say it's "for kids" how do I know it won't get marginalised as children's content only?

This is about the individual video's content & its target audience (i.e. is it made for kids?) vs video’s general category. You know your videos & target audience best, which is why you’ll self designate (in addition to our systems). More: https://yt.be/help/pE5Q

Come on @TeamYouTube can you please address this in greater detail... I make my stuff for all ages and put in the tags "child friendly tutorials" even though they aren't specifically made for children. How is this going to affect people like me with all age content?
