Im not sure why monthly resets have become the stamdard. I would prefer to see longer seasons and try to sync the ladder resets with expansions / big balance patches 
If I’m being honest I’m coming from the side of “how do we keep people playing” because right now the ladder isn’t healthy. Longer seasons would only move to highlight the major issues we see now.
-IF- this is all fixed, I agree longer seasons is great. A lot of work to do
