Wrong. And you know very well that "mandatory treatment" is meaningless unless there are some consequences Otherwise, it'll permit the politicians to claim "they did something" without any resolution to problem Not for it Oh, and let's hope that Biden not our next president:)

The consequence is that those forced into mandatory rehab also have their finances conserved. Look at Britney Spears to learn how easy it is to get control of your money again after rehab and conservatorship.

Ha most people in rehab are deeply in debt. Maybe you can put their debt into conservancy.

True but it’s a civil liberty issue imo and we have other ways to solve our problems besides government mandatory rehab with mental health police choosing who gets to go. Creates a terrible conflict of interest, this for profit rehab business.

That’s where you’re wrong. Nobody has been able to solve the problem of addicts who don’t want to quit. (Alcoholics are addicts). Not for thousands of years. When they REALLY REALLY want to do the work, more than ANYTHING, 100% willing, then it happens.

Of course that is true. So why do our pols want to spend half a billion dollars for mandatory rehab in SF at a cost of $300k pet addict annually?
