    OK... I'd love for a plot twist where users flock back to the web because they are having a better time statistically speaking AND because businesses are investing in great web apps despite the laissez-faire stance on native. Solving the latter part is equally important.

    It's like a jump of queue at the hospital. That sign is a typical sight in Japan. It says that the waiting order might change depending on circumstances. Fixing privacy without hurting pubs / the web is more subtle than fixing incognito. Also, different doctors, huh team.

    You are not alone in being eager to use Portals for same-site cases, and it's a natural way to proceed. So, that's what we are doing. For Apple, my suggestion is to create amazing experiences, and to explain why this important (e.g. value to users) via a bug report.
