How many days/weeks/months of storage do you think would be material? How about the physical & fiscal impact of 10% of average peak per ISO/RTO? It is an interesting stat - also, total ES in 2018 < 1 med Gas Turbine... but > important.

A bit harsh. Batteries are not yet cost effective for large-scale storage like pumped hydro (but it's close). They are used for grid frequency regulation, allowing decommissioning of always-on coal plants. So it's a bigger effect than you think.http://bit.ly/2IWHUia
