    Here’s what it all boils down to: ACCOUNTABILITY is through kindness and COACHING is through closeness. Accountability is the greatest gift you can give someone, but it is done through a relationship.

    The RTI model can be very powerful for helping struggling readers, but many teachers were not taught the science of reading. Ss get placed into the wrong intervention. This is so common for dyslexics. Weaknesses with decoding effect fluency & comprehension. Seidenberg:

    Yes I will give a student a second, third, forth.......chance! As many chances as it takes for a child to succeed! That’s my job, that’s what I signed up for - to be the difference, to go one more round!
