Clearly, accurately describing what's happening can be more powerful than screaming "OMG this is madness!" Plenty of others are doing that.

She speaks out with her line of questioning. Problem is that DT very rarely will take any legit reporter's questions.

There lies the problem. Cronkite realized at last that the view from nowhere was inadequate in extreme times.

Cronkite also was careful to report squarely and, in rare case when he gave opinion, clearly label it as commentary.
