Judge Kavanaugh writes @WSJ piece: “I might have been too emotional at times. I know that my tone was sharp, and I said a few things I should not have said. I hope everyone can understand that I was there as a son, husband and dad. “

He was at a damn job interview. And Dr Ford wasn't there as a daughter, wife and mom? She was the one getting death threats and was able to hold it together. She is the one who did speak to the FBI. He did not. So now we get a "poor me" letter? I don't think so.

The week before was the job interview, the confirmation hearing was the job interview. Last week was the hearing with Dr. Ford. He behaved poorly of both hearings.

It's all part of his "job interview." It's why retired SC justice Stevens changed his mind after seeing Kavanaugh's behavior during the hearing.

You know, I think you are probably right, but I also see where I was coming from, if that makes any sense. If there was not an accusation against him, the second hearing would never have happened. Anyway, thank you for your point, well taken.

Judge Kavenaugh was also there as a Circuit Court judge to testify and to respond to matters pertaining to his character, integrity and temperament obviously under much pressure. Even with the whitewash report that we cant see, the Judge succumbed miserably to the pressure

He was only there as a circuit court judge on an interview. You don’t bring other people.

The interviewee comes alone. But management can do whatever it wants especially if the job candidate is under serious consideration, will have the job for life& will make decisions that affect millions of people. That’s big . Management better know what the hell they’re getting.

Yeah he wouldn’t even get a job at the Dairy Queen Drive thru acting that way. I’m glad your expectations are so low for SCOTUS nominees though.

Kavanaugh’s testimony was part and parcel of the job interview for the Supreme Court. For me, his lie under oath about the Renate yearbook entries, along with his disrespect of Senator Klobuchar, showed he would lie about anything. He failed the interview.

And he's ignoring the fact that he was emotional and partisan in his WRITTEN STATEMENT as well. It was PLANNED.
