Yes that is true, but to be fair, no other President, that I can remember, held campaign rallies from the minute they took office. Hard to say you covered the others the same way, when the others did not act like this.

True, and no other previous president had campaign rallies and random doorstop comments as a substitute for regular press conferences.
-
Which begs the question why does the press corp continue to treat this presidency like others Too much enjoyment of ratings - racist rallies shouldn't be aired uninterrupted Heck most coverage of prior presidents was not the full event so why now when it's so dangerous
-
Did it all for money, profited greatly from the violence in the rallies and the hate speech in the whole campaign. Now, they profit from the fear and hysteria in the country engendered largely from their own coverage of the damage Trump is doing to the country. Such an insult.

What a stupid thing to say. Never did Obama spend his time holding propaganda rallies. It was awful during the campaign. Worse now. Don't treat me like an imbecile. I remember.
-
Your comment seems to ignore simple facts about the long standing existence of rallies and assumes an unkind intention that just isn’t there.
-
Was every rally, speech, and event covered live like these Trump rallies?

-
Nope. Live coverage. Uninterrupted. Zero real time fact checking. Shoot I could be President if every time I held a rally MSNBC, CNN, and Fox would broadcast it.
-
That is the real issue here. Yes the press was at every rally or event all the presidents held but the networks weren't airing every minute of the rallies. In 2016 CNN aired an empty Trump podium even though other candidates were having rallies and were actually speaking live.

Truth.

I’d say stop following Trumps propaganda speeches But that’s me
-
The rallies need to be treated like the State of the Union and the Dems should be given equal free air time for rebuttal. Otherwise air time should be paid programming.

Kelly, I appreciate your hard work, but the sad fact is, I watched
@MSNBC during 2015-16 pretty much all day & all evening, & while Trump speeches were covered in full, even many of Bernie's, it was almost impossible to see any of Hillary's for more than 15 min. here & there. + -
Since Trump was inaugurated, he's gotten tons of live coverage, in part bc he brings the press in to see bill signings, exec order signings, Cabinet mtgs (w "worship Trump" round tables), & the like, but also bc he's had many "worship Trump" rallies. It's unlike any other pres.

I call bullshit. There's NO WAY that the "liberal media" gave Obama, the Clintons, Gore, Kerry, McCain, Romney, or even Bush II the kind of uncritical coverage they give Trump. They cover his repetitive rallies start to finish, as though he might say something new. He won't. 1/
-
During the 2016 campaign, Trump's EMPTY PODIUM got more airtime than the other actual candidates. If there's anyone with no right to complain about the media, it's Trump 2/2https://eu.freep.com/story/opinion/editorial/2016/06/07/donald-trump-media-blame/85370758/ …

Comment is completely insane, I'm sorry. You've been wall to wall on Trump's rallies for 3 years. Press may have covered HRC Obama but not with live uninterrupted broadcasts. And let me please remind you. You never covered a word Hillary said. All you covered was HER EMAILS.1/2
-
Another "thing" you refused to cover was her voters. Most of us voted for HRC. You painstakingly analyze and empathize with attendants at Trump rallies, even today, but you ignored ridiculed and suppressed the voice of HRC voters, no problem doing that. /2
-
Dude. You need to come back to reality. The press tried to shove hrc down our throats. Fawning endlessly. It was disturbing to watch. Take your medication and possibly a nap.

-
Sober up. You're a fool.
-
“The press was fawning endlessly over Hillary?” JHC. It’s not booze, though, need some serious drugs to get to that place.
