The conductor said about 45 mins ago it would take 2-3 hours to fix. By my guesstimate that puts 165 into Union Station sometime between 3-4 am since we're about an hour+ outside of DC. This wasn't on my bucket list.

Marisel, we sincerely apologize for the lengthy delay in your trip and the late reply. We were overwhelmed with inquiries regarding the service disruption in BAL last night. We really appreciate you being so patient with us. We hope to make this up to you on your next trip.

Middle of nowhere? I’ve never been out east but isn’t it like one big city? If you really want to experience being stranded in the middle of nowhere, come up here to Alaska, I’ll give you a first hand experience.

Yeah, I’m sure this is very inconvenient for the passengers, but the “middle of nowhere” doesn’t exactly conjure up a town within a few miles of multiple hotels and I-95, and ~20 miles outside of Baltimore...

We’ve all been there. I got stuck on the derecho train at BWI, and everybody was ordering cabs and limos for the hundreds of people standing on the platform. Many people slept on that train per AMTRAK advice. Get out while you can.

Shocking. This is what happens when you put an airline CEO in charge of a RR. Totally different business.
