As a mom, I cannot imagine the overwhelming grief Tyre Nichols’ mother must be feeling as the world bears witness to the senseless brutality her son endured in his last moments. Tyre was a father, a beloved son, and a talented skateboarder. Tyre should be alive today.

Free-For-All Museum Day is back. On Sunday, February 5, 2023, over thirty museums—presenting art, cultural heritage, film, natural history, and science—will open their doors and offer free general admission.

The senseless gun violence that has terrorized the communities of Monterey Park and Half Moon Bay has become all too common place in our nation. Our children and our communities deserve common-sense gun laws and increased investments in mental health resources. (1/2)
