Incarcerated people are producing masks to offset the #PPEshortage. Correctionsstaff are supervising. 230 inmates are working at four prisons, making up to 1,400 masks a day. They earn $1.50 an hour. First order goes to prisons/jails, then sent to other industries #COVIDー19

Slave wages. As a state, how are we not better than this? Incarcerated people are at high risk from this virus, and we're using their labor but not fairly compensating them.

I can confirm this is true. The guys at Osborn were working 12 hr shifts making the masks per my husband, incarcerated at Osborn.
