We FINALLY received our test results taken 8 days before. One person in my house was positive then. By the time we tested again, 1 week later, 3 of us had COVID. If we had known sooner, we would have immediately quarantined. Perhaps the National Guard can help with testing too.

Perhaps, if you had taken better precautions, not out protesting without a mask, you wouldn't have covid! 🤷♀️

Thank you for sharing. I hope you are well. It’s also difficult to get tested here in Orange County, CA. My family waited 6 days for results. I’m fielding questions daily from restaurant workers who not only can’t get timely tested, but results take 5-8 days. They can’t afford it.

In San Diego, the wait for the free countywide testing is 8-12 days. Then it takes 8 days to get the result.
Kaiser will only test patients with symptoms, so if you're with Kaiser it's like having no healthcare at all.

Agree. Your family case is a perfect example of why delays in getting test results matter. Had the index case in your household known immediately about the Dx he/she would have been able to isolate and prevent infecting others in the family.
