  1. The Government is failing to protect women and girls. From tougher sentences for rape and stalking to making misogyny a hate crime - Labour will toughen sentences and create new offences for those who perpetrate violence against women and girls.

This should just be the start. Our shared experience of the pandemic has to be the catalyst for fundamental change in the workplace. We need a new deal for workers - with better pay and conditions.

Today ⁦⁩ have set out our Green Paper to tackle violence against women and girls, including our Survivors Support Plan for victims of rape. The government has failed to act for far too long - so this is what we would do to support women.

The are failing to protect women and girls. They have overseen record low conviction rates for rape and an epidemic of violence. Enough is enough. is putting keeping women safe at the very top of our agenda with our own Bill.

Utterly disgusting. Antisemitism, misogyny and hate have no place on our streets or in our society. There must be consequences.

I’m furious the UK Government has - recklessly - ignored warnings from scientists and in refusing to secure our borders with a proper quarantine system. They’ve left the door open to dangerous strains. Now we have this deeply worrying situation to deal with...

Great to hear from children and their teachers about the brilliant work that they are doing to build a curriculum that reflects and celebrates our diversity. I'm so proud of the work schools in Camden have continued to do despite the challenges of the last year.

. is showing the kind of plan we need. A plan for long-term investment, to halve child poverty, to deliver a fairer tax system, and to build a more resilient and greener economy. We need to grow the economy from the middle out, not top-down.

We have all seen how workers got us through this crisis. And we all agree, we can't go back to business as usual. So where's the Government's promised Employment Bill? Workers deserve fair pay, security, dignity, safety and a work-life balance.

The thoughts of the whole Labour Party are with Wes and his family at this difficult time. Wes is a friend and a colleague and I know he'll come back from this even stronger and more determined than ever before. I can't wait to see him back in Parliament as soon as possible.
