$1.5 trillion in student loan forgiveness would be a real economic stimulus for the US economy in contrast to the $1.5 trillion tax reduction for billionaires.
Insane: Student debt in USA has tripled since 2004, & is now over $1.52 Trillion. College & university fees have skyrocketed, while wages have been stagnant.
We should forgive this student debt, & make higher education attainable for all. #InvestInPeople

Just consider all the foreign countries who totally finance thousands of their best and brightest to be educated in America, while your own citizens languish in paralyzing debt....unless, of course they got a football or basketball scholarship.

The debt is definitely a significant part of the equation, but what keeps this debt from lessening is the interest. The fed states the interest rate, currently at 7% and that is completely unnecessary. There is no reason, this can't be 3% or zero!

You are correct. I was shocked a few years ago when you could buy a house at 3% interest and school loans were still 7%. Our priorities are upside down. Shame on this country.
