Today published my poem "The Palace," a long poem I've been working on for years. If you have a minute, you can read it here:

One of the joys of living with a poet is that, reading their books, you find dog-ears you didn’t make, and get to enter a poem knowing it has already been loved. This is one such discovery, by Alexander Vvedensky & translated by Eugene Ostashevsky

I am perhaps in the minority in that I really like reading blurbs. The best ones, like this one by Claudia Rankine for Sabrina Orah Mark’s THE BABIES, aren’t just marketing argle-bargle; they actually illuminate something meaningful about both the book’s poetics and the blurber’s

Éste poema está bien bonito y me gustan muchas partes como "a voice in my head said shouldn't you be worried about using a word that ain't a word & I was like word" Y el final es lo mejor.

Read this in Arabic translation this morning and cried—the rage-fear-pride-exhaustion-resilience-disillusionment-love-hatred-numbness is so profoundly familiar. Thank you

Poets often complain that it is difficult to write well about hope or optimism, or that now is not the time to do so. Here is a major new poem (anthem?) by Nate Marshall offering one path into it:

Great thread. Earnest q: if London Review of Books (hi !) hasn’t reviewed a book by a poet of color IN A DECADE, that is a curatorial policy, not a wild coinkydink. They are actively advancing an agenda of white supremacy. Why should anyone care what they think abt anything?
