PLEASE STOP BEATING UP ON #incel. These are guys that are hurting underneath their rage. This scrutiny is not something they asked for and I'm concerned for the well-being of the people involved.

You have to get to the bottom of the real issue for each individual. They aren’t a group that shares common characteristics. Many groups revile women. Each member or self proclaimed incel has a different reason, some poverty, some disability, some race, some parenting,

They never actually accept one another, seeing all males as competition, but that doesn’t stop them from feeling vindicated that some unexperienced childlike boys think the way they do.

One kid will be told it’s hopeless enough times, will remember the suggestions from his peers, and go “ER” on some innocent people. The rest will be forced by life to get outside and experience more, which is literally enough to destroy any credibility their incel lord has.
-
Nothing you said negates my point. Part of being incel is believing no one can/will help. To be an adult male virgin in our society even if one does not identify as incel is to be an object of ridicule. What do we stand to lose by reaching out in compassion & offering help?

Are you under the mistaken impression that I am incel? What led you to that conclusion? And secondly, I make no excuses whatsoever for behavior. I'm trying to help a community of people wrapped up in their own anger and pain in order to prevent tragedies like this from recurring.

If you want to prevent future attacks, don’t look to vilify someone, or blame society. Don’t promote generalizing or labeling. These guys don’t need social justice warriors on Twitter to fight for them. They need good examples of how to view and treat women.

I don't disagree with any of that, though I would add a focus on stamping out bullying (an early destroyer of self esteem) and a more robust system of mental healthcare and public effort to destigmatize seeking out psychiatric help.
