And it would have taken about 3 semesters of "normal" schooling to get to the point we are at in 3 weeks!
Spent today learning DOM Events at breakneck speed at @LambdaSchool. I'm 100% sure I'd give up by now if we didn't have such an amazing support network to fall back on when we're frustrated and overwhelmed. I've learned more in three weeks than in three months of self-teaching.

I was thinking that too! Before I applied for Lambda I thought about taking classes at our community college - one class each for HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Such a waste of money.

In interviewing frontend developers, one of the deficits I've seen most often is that they're comfortable with javascript, but have little familiarity with manipulating the DOM. -
From what I've seen so far, Lambda does a great job of going deeply into concepts as quickly as possible, giving us the basis of how something works and the resources to figure it out when we need to use it. No hand holding here! I love it.
