I agree with you- but I don't think it should be an either/or question. High speed rail should bring significant economic benefits

Business often went elsewhere because links were so poor. As a region, we can't afford to turn away new business- the advanced manufacturing

train companies and the Treasury to fight for a better quality service for passengers. And you are bang on about the cost of tickets.
