    We have children doing interviews about surviving school shootings. Or sleeping on floors because of gunshots in their neighborhood. This isn’t normal. This isn’t inevitable. It is sick, morally reprehensible, and a failure of political will.

    By the time I peed on the stick I was already 5 weeks. Couldn't get my first official checkup until 8 weeks. This is a bill that seeks to effectively ban abortion. Meanwhile, Georgia's stats on maternal health for black women are abysmal. You see their priorities, here.

    Bad policies like the forced pregnancy bill are a direct result of voter suppression. If leaders can silence Georgians’ voices at the ballot box, they can ignore Georgians’ voices when in office. We will fight back in court and at the voting booth.
