A very happy 89th birthday today to , Ontario's 18th premier. He's the only premier in the last 100 years to win 4 straight elections. And he's still actively involved in politics in and beyond.

Although I will no longer be Premier, I have not in any way lost my passion for continuing this work — continuing to find ways to build our province up. I’ll be taking a short break from social media during the transition to a new government, but I will be back online soon.

Thank you, Ontario, for allowing me to be your Premier for the past 5 years. This has been the greatest privilege of my life. Please know that every day I have been your Premier, and a minister and an MPP, that I have worked to think about your needs.

My dad is 92, and my mom is 89. Long before I entered public life, they were committed voters. Happy to help them to get to the polls in Richmond Hill today.
