My motivation is that I’d like to have an impact/move the needle, think differently, and inspire others to do so. Others may be students I teach , colleagues I have the opportunity to work with, or young people/women thinking about entering the field.

1/3 it's not often in the modern internet era that google is the hero. but when it comes to DoH they are doing two things right, that everyone else should emulate. first, chrome is only speaking DoH to servers the user has already selected.

It would be interesting to do a serious, counterintelligence-grade forensic analysis of assorted Member’s phones, especially ones who’ve been overseas recently. I KNOW that some US government employees’ phones have been hacked.

  13. You know it’s going to be a good day when you walk to the end of your yard, get your bike while all dressed for work, then move 10 feet to the bike path, just missing the timing of the sprinkler system turning on.

Patch promptly is THE #1 cyber protective rule for users and sites. It doesn’t matter if the root cause is Microsoft, the NSA, the FSB, antivaxxers, or ETs from Andromeda. There’s bad stuff out there; patches are MUCH better than firewalls, antivirus, strong passwords, etc.
