This is short sighted and just feel good marketing. Most energy companies own both. ExxonMobil, Royal Dutch Shell, Chevron, BP, and Total invested a whopping one billion dollars into advertising and lobbying for renewables and other climate-related venture.

Think of all the carbon emissions resulting from the production of the Guardian, from computer servers to printing presses to distribution. If The Guardian really cared about the planet they'd shut down.
