@MZHemingway St. Paul had nothing to say about the pleasure of a vagina compared to a man's anus. "I mean, come on dudes of Corinth!"

.@KatelynBeaty Highly doubt anyone *honestly* thinks he got canned for being crass. Crassness is celebrated in our culture.

@MZHemingway Crassness isn't the issue. It's the implication that gay men should just wake up to how awesome women's body parts are.

@MZHemingway Also, re: crassness, this isn't a great Christian witness from Robertson, or an abiding of Paul's warning about crass talk.

@KatelynBeaty I think you're kind of all over the map here. I'm interested in how people get fired for believing homosexuality is sinful.

@MZHemingway Then let's keep it a free speech issue, and not baptize Robertson as a humble, pious upholder of Christian virtue.

@KatelynBeaty but it's *not* a free speech issue. A&E has every right to fire someone.

@MZHemingway Then what's the problem here?

@KatelynBeaty Probably same issue as pastor getting disinvited from inauguration. Cultural tolerance of Christianity.

@MZHemingway I think it's more cultural intolerance of poor arguments against homosexuality ("vaginas are great"; "it leads to bestiality").

@MZHemingway If cultural intolerance of Christianity were the issue, how has the show become so popular? Their faith is front and center.

@KatelynBeaty @MZHemingway Been wanting to read someone making exactly this point! Maybe I will have to write it (much as I don't want to).

@KatelynBeaty @MZHemingway That implication is inherent in any natural law argument against homosexuality. Are those illegitimate as well?
